Timely Hitting and Defense Helps Takeover Baseball 12U Sweep Out of the Park

Game 1 - Out of the Park 1 vs Takeover Baseball 2

Both teams were strong on the mound Saturday, but Takeover Baseball 12U defeated Out Of The Park 2-1. Takeover Baseball 12U pitchers allowed just six hits to Out Of The Park. Sean Hughes started the game for Takeover and went three innings, allowing two hits, and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking once while receiving the win. Dalton Michael came in after Sean and pitched an inning and a third on no run baseball striking out two. Dylan Ianiero came in to close it out, throwing two and two thirds innings striking out one. Takeover scored two runs in the first inning which was enough to take the win. The runs were scored when lead off hitter Nielson Carter was hit by a pitch then went to second when Sean Hughes walked and then a double by Cosmo Gallo scored both Nielson and Sean. Brooks Lunger led Takeover Baseball Takeover Baseball 12U with two hits in two at bats.


Game 2 - Out of the Park 4 vs Takeover Baseball 7

Down a run in the top of the third inning, Takeover Baseball 12U got on the board when Daniel Ianiero led the inning off with a single and came around to score when Sean Hughes reached on an error. Then Graham Berry and Jude Henn scored in the inning when Dalton Michael singled. The game was tied at four with Takeover Baseball 12U batting in the top of the sixth when Cosmo Gallo's sac fly scored Dominick Long who reached on a walk for Takeover Baseball 12U. Takeover put the game away in the 7th when Dylan Ianiero and Jack Schlaudecker scored on hits by Daniel Ianiero and Graham Berry. Takeover Baseball 12U collected ten hits


on the day. Dan Ianiero, Graham Berry, and Dalton Michael each racked up multiple hits forTakeover Baseball 12U. Dominick Long led things off on the mound for Takeover Baseball 12U, Dominick lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three and walking one. Graham Berry came in relief to get the win throwing four innings allowing three hits, two walks, and three runs, one of which was earned.
